About Us
Imagine a garden that grows with your child. Little Saplings work with little hands to create backyard organic gardens that bloom and flourish and feed your family!
What if your children could have their very own backyard organic garden grown and created, especially by their own little hands and taught to them by their own personal garden specialist? We are here to encourage your children in their love of gardening and the outdoors!
Little Saplings is owned and run by Ruth Steinberg who has been working and teaching gardening privately to children and in Pre-schools and can offer your kids a personal learning -gardening experience tending and creating their own little organic edible and flowering garden
Little saplings would offer a basic introduction to the principles of organic gardening, we will not only build a beautiful garden but a growing habitat for observing insects and plant life cycles.
Birthday Parties
We will spend an enchanting couple of hours at your party in which we have story time, gardening, and then become scientists with our magnifying glasses. Our big bin of worms makes the day happy and slimy – an essential component of the ‘experience’.Together we create lasting memories and wonderful miniature gardens for each guest to take home as a party favor! We keep the children totally immersed in gardening heaven while we are with your children- after all, there is nothing like being in nature!
School Gardens
Owner Ruth Steinberg encourages children in their love of gardening and the outdoors. Now in the time of Covid and home isolation, we have expanded our reach and have included a more comprehensive approach to our teaching. Little Saplings has been teaching nature crafting along with certain specialty curricula adapting lessons content to work in the outdoor setting. We have been teaching children to build skills while gardening. Woodwork, sewing, weaving, ceramic and other creative pathways.
Culinary Gardens
Little Saplings has been working with event planners creating custom events according to individual event themes. We have worked with the Abbot Kinney festival, school fundraising picnics and private charity Christmas parties. We look forward to hearing from you and celebrating your child’s party or celebrating your custom private events.
